Lapis lazuli is a dark blue stone that sometimes has flecks of pyrite that are gold in color. The color of this stone can range from a deep dark blue to a medium blue. Denim lapis is a lighter stone that often has white specks in the stone. This stone is not as expensive as lapis lazuli but not cheap either. Denim lapis color can range from a light blue, also called cornflower blue to a darker blue but is never as dark as lapis lazuli stones.
