Onyx is a black stone that is usually dyed, sometimes this stone has white and brown stripes, called Sardonyx. Onyx comes from the Greek word for nails, because legend has it that while Aphrodite was sleeping Eros (Cupid) cut her nails, and when they fell to the ground they turned to rocks. The stone is part of the chalcedony family. Our earrings are made with natural onyx stones and sterling silver – two colors which are classy and go with every outfit.
